Salam all,

I hope that you are all in the best of Faith and Health.

In a lot of chapters of Quran we find some sort of dialogue between whom are going to Hell or whom are going to Paradise but these particular verses got my attention and raised a question in my mind, the verses are:

Quote:

[74.38] Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns,
[74.39] except the Companions of the Right.
[74.40] In Gardens they will question
[74.41] concerning the sinners,
[74.42] 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)? '
[74.43] They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed
[74.44] and we did not feed the needy.
[74.45] We plunged in with the plungers
[74.46] and belied the Day of Recompense
[74.47] till the certainty (death) overtook us. '

So my question is: Would both of them talk to eachothers after entering the Paradise/the Hell?
If so how the Jannah would be perfected for the believers if by any means someone would know that their beloved ones are in the Fire (ALLAH forbids)?

And recall when We made a covenant with you and raised Mount Sinai above you [emphasizing]: ‘Grasp strongly what We have given you and bear in mind [what is written in it] so that you may be secure [from the wrath of God].’ Yet even after this you turned away, and but [in reality] had it not been for Allah’s grace and mercy you would have surely been among the astray [owing to your attitude]. And you have heard of [those among you] who violated the sanctity of the Sabbath so We said to them: ‘Go and become detested apes’. In this way, We made that [city of theirs in which they violated the Sabbath] an example for those around and a means of admonition to the God fearing. (63-6)

There is a difference of opinion among scholars whether the transformation to apes means became intellectually like animals by following their base desires or also in physical appearance. I quote the translation by Ghamidhi.

According to Ghamidhi

The Qur’ān sounds a curse to the Israelites in these words. It is evident from the succeeding verse that the way they resembled monkeys was so manifest that the people of the surrounding cities could take a lesson from them. It seems that when like monkeys they broke all limits in following their base desires, first their character became perverted and later their appearance also changed. So ultimately they became cursed monkeys from both their inside and their outside.

This would suggest that their was both and intellectual and physical transformation. My query is that if their was a physical transformation of people into apes, that would be a significant historical event. Is their any historical evidence that points towards this happening. Is there any mention in OT about such a happening?

Please refer to the last bit of the verse an example for those around and a means of admonition to the God fearing

[In enmity with the Qur’ān, they have now become enemies of Gabriel]. Tell them: ‘Whoever is an enemy of Gabriel [is in reality an enemy of God]’ because he [O Prophet!] has revealed it to your heart by the permission of God in confirmation with the predictions which are present from before and [revealed it] to give guidance and glad tidings to the believers. [They should know that] whoever is an enemy of God, His angels, and His Prophets and Gabriel and Michael, then God is the enemy of such disbelievers. (2: 97-8)

The Jews in their foolishness had gone as far as to become the enemy of Gabriel merely because he had revealed the message of God to Muhammad (sws) and not to someone among them.

My query is that what is the OT reference that states that Jews were against Gabriel? If we accept Gabriel to be an angel of God and important enough to be the chosen one to bring Divine Guidance to His prophets then how can anyone question Gabriel's motives or actions? Is there any reference in OT about this?

A question regarding dealing or treating your wives;

"04:03 And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphangirls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice."

So if Muslims can deal their wives they are allowed to marry up to 4 women, I think Muslim who married more then one wives thought they could so they got married with 2 or 3 or 4 wives. However, the lord of Islam, Allah think otherwise. And most amazingly its in the same Sura !! :)

"04:129 You can never be equitable in dealing with more than one wife, no matter how hard you try. Therefore, do not be so biased as to leave one of them hanging (neither enjoying marriage, nor left to marry someone else). If you correct this situation and maintain righteousness, GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful."

So can you or can you not ?
